Team Us:
Christiana is a Maryland raised environmental policy wonk/activist/organizer and communications aficionado. In the past year she has lived in Baltimore, MD, Tucson, AZ, Miami, FL and soon Lancaster, UK. In her not so spare time she enjoys planning trips with Nick, visiting friends and family and crafting like a mo-fo. She also enjoys physical therapy, modern dance classes and contact sports (ie rugby, soccer); but has been banned from playing till after the wedding. She is an ardent Liverpool FC supporter.
Team Uk:
Nick is occasionally British expat currently living with Christiana wherever she may roam. He is a talented web designer and developer and solves all website woes. In his not so spare time he enjoys the magic of guitar hero, playing real guitars and catching up on more soccer. He and his brother also run this shop. He plays an amazing game of “footie” (soccer) and his favorite team is Manchester United.

Just how did the Us meet the Uk?
Christiana and Nick met in Austin, TX in March 2008. Nick was in Austin for a conference and Christiana was there to interview career candidates for PIRG. She arrived in Austin on Friday night with her friends. They all headed out to the bars after dinner and one of them suggested Bar Six.
Christiana and friends headed upstairs to check out the view and Christiana was hit in the face with an elbow. Little did she know, that elbow would soon change her life. She struck up a conversation with the offender and they laughed and talked about Peter Crouch, the Robot and other silly topics for hours. They exchanged numbers and agreed to try and hang out the next day.
Nick and Christiana met at a coffee shop in downtown Austin. They walked and talked all around Austin for several hours and had a great time. To their wallet’s dismay they continued texting until the invention of email. After send TONS of very long emails and with a new laptop for Christiana they used snazzy new technology (Skype) to stay in touch.
Christiana and Nick agreed it would be best if Nick came to Tucson and helped Christiana move to Miami. Through 12 hours in Christiana’s tiny car, every day, for 4 days, spending 24/7 with each other they fell deeper in love. When it came time for Christiana to go to Boston and Nick to return to the UK they were each devastated.
However, Nick soon returned to Miami to live with Christiana and a bunch of other people in an ugly house in the ghetto. They had a great time while living there (despite no AC) and decided to get married!
Now they are back in Maryland for a few months while Christiana finishes an internship and they will soon head to England for several months in December!
