Obligatory Travel Post
I’m off to San Diego for work, so posting may be lighter. Nick is coming with me, and he was plenty irked when I told him he might want to bring jeans in addition to shorts.
“WHAT?!?! But California is HOT, it’s like, beach town USA, it’s hotter than DC!!”
was his response. I told him to check the weather, and he was a bit bummed to see that highs were in the upper 60′s. I think it’ll be a nice break from this oppressive DC summer.

Hello! I followed you from Weddingbee and I’m not sure if I’ve commented on here before, but I have to comment on this post. This weather thing is very true. I’m an East Coast transplant living in San Diego, and I am still shocked that it’s not hot in CA. This has been an especially cool summer, and I’m so tired of it! Also, you mentioned the Estancia hotel in a recent post, and I have to mention that I work literally across the street from there, and La Jolla is even chillier than the rest of San Diego! Still, totally gorgeous though. Enjoy the cool weather and serene ocean!
