Professional and Amateur Photographers, Have You Considered?
Friday, May 14th, 2010I don’t have the skill set to do this, but as I was browsing Petfinder.com I noticed this particular adorable pug.

(mary swift) (petfinder listing)
What I think helped this little guy stand out from the rest is that he has a pro photo. With a watermark! So I checked her out. Mary Swift is a professional pet photographer, who helps out the Baltimore Humane Society. I love her work, and love her charitable attitude too! Since 2004 she has been volunteering as a photographer for shelters and rescue groups and has photographed more than 3,000 pets to date.
Shelter dogs need good homes, and photos with them looking crazy, with glowing eyes, in bad lighting, ultra grainy – can’t be helpful to their cause.

If you’re a photography enthusiast who can shoot on something other than Auto – please consider contacting a local shelter or rescue to help them out. I’m sure they (and the puppies!) would greatly appreciate it.
