It's a special treat and we make it a special date. We don't eat meat at home (he's vegetarian so I don't bother doing it because I don't like handling raw meat anyway). I've realized that I am not one of those folks that actually enjoys cooking. It really just stresses me out. While I make dinner 90% of the time during the week- I would rather eat out 100% of the time. Which means spending way too much money! Teach me your ways! I so wish I felt the same way. I think this is a huge part of why we don't go out to dinner much - it's just not worth it. Sure, Mark can eat meat - but it's just not really worth it. We usually limit our going out to things we can't/don't make as well at home - Chinese food (omg Hunan Manor); sushi, crab pretzels, thai, tapas, etc. I pack my lunch instead of paying for a sandwich or whatever because I can make a sandwich. We also don't go out for dinner when we don't feel like cooking - we can /always/ make dinner in less time than it would take to go out. I totally feel this.
