[...] Not in the sense that I’ve never consumed beef. I did as a child, but I haven’t really had any for 10 years till recently. I’ve discovered that I’m not a big burger fan, but I’m very happy with a steak. I think it’s because I know I’m eating a cow, and a steak is a clear representation of that. I’m clearly eating a slab of muscle from a dead animal. Burgers on the other hand? Ground beef is some strange flesh mush - and it freaks me out. [...]

I hear you...I always feel a little ill if I eat beef. I haven't had red meat in 9 years...and yep...my body doesn't know how to digest it, so if I eat an entire burger or something...yeah...it comes back up, so to say. Yuck. But, I am trying ever so slightly to eat some steak, etc when Justin orders it at a restaurant! It does taste good....

I find the longer I stay vegetarian (pescatarian now), the more even just looking at pictures of meat makes me feel nauseated. I used to eat chicken when we vacationed in third world countries, because there was no salad, but it's been awhile and now that I eat some fish I just can't imagine going back to eating red meat and stuff.

Somebody's gonna have to tell Mark though, because he's always been counting on me going back to meat once we have kids...and I say...no.

Why did you start eating meat again? And yeah, steak beats burger. If I was going to not-be-vegetarian, it would be for some bacon-coated-steak. Not some burger.

@Trixie My sister said that if you don't eat something (red meat included) for 3 months your body stops producing the enzymes needed to digest it. I haven't had a problem eating red meat since! I think you're right that steak is ALWAYS . burger :)

Steak ALWAYS = better than burger.
My husband does not eat anything that isn't poultry or fish. It kills me because I don't get to eat the beef I so crave. When i finally get to have some my body gets confused and I usually end up with a belly ache. But it's well worth it sometimes.. :)

The burger at least looks really good. Oh yeah and a good steak is definitely way better than a burger any time (more surface area for unknown whatever).
