We’re off!
Nick and I are off to New York till Tuesday. We’ll be staying with this lovely lady and her husband, and visiting Nick’s mother and sister. They go to New York every year, for several years before Nick and I ever met and now we try to visit them when they’re in the country.
Last year, our families were able to meet for the first time. But I don’t have any pictures of that, I don’t know why.
This year, we all know it each other – so I don’t think we’ll be as nervous heading up there. Let’s see if I can manage to get some this time.
When did you meet your in-laws for the first time?

My hometown! Have fun and definitely take advantage of all the NYC foods. We’re super excited to have found a good Mexican restaurant in London (it’s all about food for me!)

I had been going out with my husband for 9 months or so (7 of which spent apart) when I first met his step mom (who raised him) and his siblings. I was so apprehensive but it went quite well in the end. I fit pretty well with the family and I guess I was better than the last girlfriend my husband had brought home…
I met his birth mother that same year on Christmas Eve in Hawaii where they live, they had no idea we were coming with his sister and they just stood speechless by the door. I don’t think I have pictures in either case, there was too much to worry about, plus flashing them with my camera might not have done the best impression on a first visit (althouh I have pictures of his mom from HI, but then again it’s hawaii!)
