Friendly Future In-Laws
I’ve seen lots of posts about difficulties with future in-laws, or the general pain that they can be and TV shows like “Everybody loves Raymond” really promote the stereotypes of them. I understand Mr.D and I have gotten to know our in-laws a bit better since we’ve lived with them, but I like to think it’s more than that. I really can’t say enough great things about my in-laws, they’ve made me feel so welcome in a foreign country and I enjoy spending time with them.

This weekend I went to London with Mr.D’s Sister, Mother and Aunt and we had a fantastic time. We swung by Buckingham palace, saw Billy Elliot AND the Lion King in the West End, ate fantastic food and had a wonderful time. My FMIL and FSIL have seen Billy Elliot countless times (both in the US and the UK) and I was so pleased I was able to see it with them. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should seriously go - it’s my new favorite and I can’t wait to take my own mother to see it.
I had such a great “girls weekend” with my future in-laws and I’m so happy we’ll all be family. Does anyone else get along with their in-laws?

I love my in-laws as well. They’re very different from my parents, (10 years younger, more religious) but just overall they’re great people.
