Bridal shows are a waste of time.

When my sister was getting married I had the incorrect impression/memory/delusion that bridal shows are fun.

In theory, I’m sure they are, you have a ton of vendors all in one place, its kind of like Target, instead of hunting on Amazon you can just go in and see a bunch of vendors at one time. I remember my sister’s bridal shows being overwhelming, with tons of booths, and even more cake tasting.

Advertised were 40 vendors, on the vendor list maybe 25? In reality…20? I’m not really sure. But it was horrible. In fact, Nick and I both agreed that this was the biggest waste of $7 we’d ever spent.

There was this bizarre fashion show, with some weird man doing some kind of wedding poetry slam, except it was slow, and odd, and not cool at all like a poetry slam ought to be . Then there was a lady with big thinning red hair, crazy glasses, a shiny red taffeta suit, and HUGE earrings…she was the announcer.

Yup…so the one bridal show happening in the area while we’re in this state was the bastard child of what I thought a bridal show was supposed to be. You know, efficient, helpful…dare I say, fun?! We were proved wrong. uhg!

This is how that show made us feel

ps. On a happy note, Team Bride is going to Aria Bridesmaids on 12/7!!! They book a month or two out, so I feel pretty lucky to snag any slot before Dec 13th!
